Don played at our outdoor ceremony and indoor brunch reception and he was so nice to work with! We had found Don on Gig salad and, after a quick phone call, we immediately asked him to perform at our wedding ceremony this October. Don was professional, experienced and just an all around cool guy, he certainly passed the vibe check!

Leading up to the event, we met with Don again (virtually) to discuss our ceremony songs. He was able to provide us with a large variety of music and even offered to learn new songs at our request! My wife and I hired Don for our wedding on 9/14 at the Publick House in Sturbridge, MA. Working with Don was easy – we booked through gigmasters and had a phone call to work out details. Don coordinated with our DJ to ensure the sound would be perfect for both the ceremony and cocktail hour. As for the music – we asked Don to play some Celtic music and some of his originals (check them out!) before the ceremony, a couple specific pieces during the ceremony, and some pop covers during the cocktail hour. The guests were very pleased with Don’s song choices and his skillful renditions. My only regret is that I was too busy to thank him more profusely in person!

Amazing! We booked Don for our wedding on 4/8/16. He responded promptly and was a breeze to work with. I hired Don for a surprise 50th birthday party for my wife. We had both friends and family for a house party of 40-50 people. Don was terrific in several ways. He was very professional in setting up our arrangements. He was very timely and accommodating in his arrival time making sure he was completely set up and ready to go for what was a surprise party. In addition he was very fair and flexible to accommodate us when we asked him to play beyond the time we originally expected to end (as a side note – we asked him to play longer than we originally booked him for because his music was well played, well received, and added a lot to the atmosphere of the party). Don played both as the main entertainment for a period during the evening, and also in the back ground for much of the night. He played both roles well. We can’t say enough about how happy we were with Don at our wedding! We booked him based on the reviews on Gigmasters and the music on his site, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. He was the consummate professional from start to finish.
Don was always prompt with answers to our questions, while providing fresh ideas and great communication in general leading up to our big day. When the day arrived, Don was there early, even though it was a 2-hour drive for him. We did all of our own planning, and while we were running around taking care of last-minute preparations and worrying whether everything was ready, Don was a calming friend. He was set-up in two locations and dressed in his suit even before the groom was dressed! Put simply, Don removed the stress from the music portion of our day and while other aspects of the afternoon needed our attention, he required no assistance whatsoever.
In addition to his professionalism, Don is also a great musician. He played our ceremony and the cocktail hour, and our guests are still telling us how much they enjoyed the music. It was absolutely perfect.
Last but not least, Don is a really nice guy. Even though we met for the first time just a few hours before our wedding, Don seemed to genuinely care about us. Rather than just show up to play music, he took a sincere interest in our day. When dinner was over and he was getting ready to head home, we felt like we were saying goodbye to one of our guests and were sad that he had to leave!
Bottom line — Don is a complete professional, fantastic musician, and kind person who was an integral part of making our day so special. We enthusiastically and without hesitation recommend him to anyone considering his services.

We were very fortunate to find Don for our wedding ceremony. We had exactly 2 weeks to throw everything together and thought we would have to compromise on a quality musician to accommodate our request. Not true! Don was wonderful! he was willing to meet ahead of time to discuss his music and the ceremony. He was very accommodating. His music was perfect for the intimate setting and there were many favorable comments about his musical selections and talent. He played most every type of music, classical, rock, jazz, etc. We were more than pleased!
